We live and breathe music here at KJ Studios, and we believe every individual has something to gain from the arts. Instruments

Piano

We’ve fused traditional teachings with modern techniques, encouraging our students to have fun and unlock their creativity. Our diverse program focuses on recording, performing, technique and theory, equipping students with everything they need to become the master pianist we know they can be.

Keyboard

We specialise in customised programs for learning the keyboard and offer a unique learning experience different from that of learning a piano. Our expert instructors will guide you through the ins and outs of the keys, including basic techniques for beginners to advanced skills for those more experienced musicians, whilst ensuring your learning at a pace that suits you best.

Guitar/Bass

Whether you’re into making rock, pop, blues, funk, metal or country, the guitar can get you there. Our guitar programs are designed for the individual, tailoring lessons to your tastes and music goals. At KJ Studios, everything’s covered, including how to read sheet music and operate your amps and other gear.

Vocal

Do you just know you were born to sing? Then KJ Studios is the perfect studio for you. We specialise in audition and exam preparation, and work with vocalists of all levels to help them master their art.

Drums

Our Teaching Artists are also working musicians, which puts them in a unique position to equip you with all the necessary skills needed to be an artist. Our teachers will help you really nail your drumming techniques and assist with refining your presence and all the skills needed to perform with a band.

Ukulele

We find the ukulele usually ignites a passion music similar to the guitar, and because it is so versatile and easy to transport, the ukulele is a fantastic instrument to unlock your creative mind. With a talented community of ukulele masters in the Blue Mountains, we can connect you to other musicians who also share a love of this beautiful instrument.

Violin

Mastering the violin is a challenging but rewarding and achievable task with the right teacher guiding you. Regardless of if you are looking to master classical pieces or explore more contemporary styles, our experienced instructors will work with you to create a customised plan tailored to your goals and interests.

Saxophone

From smooth jazz to funky R&B, our talented teachers will help you hone your sax skills and develop your own unique sound. No matter your musical style, we'll help you unleash your inner saxophonist with our customised lesson plans.

AT KJ Studios, we understand how challenging and time-consuming the preparation for both HSC and AMEB examinations is. For this reason, we specialise in helping students prepare for both HSC and AMEB examinations. In doing so, we cover all aspects of the examination process, including theory, practice, and performance. Our customised programs cater to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced musicians.

Our personalised approach to teaching means that we plan each lesson around our student’s individual talents, goals and interests, using methods that help them thrive. We also provide opportunities for our students to perform on stage in front of live audiences, helping them gain confidence and experience in their skills prior to their exams.
